Brightspace Course Evaluation:
Using OSCQR Standards

Role
Instructional Designer
Date
Summer 2025
As part of the SUNY Center for Professional Development Instructional Design Certificate Program, I conducted a comprehensive OSCQR (Online SUNY Course Quality Review) evaluation of a faculty-developed Brightspace course within SUNY Cortland's Childhood and Early Childhood Education program.
The review examined course organization, accessibility, navigation, instructional design, learner support, and assessment practices. Based on the evaluation, I developed recommendations to improve usability, accessibility, and the overall learner experience, providing evidence-based recommendations to improve course quality and the learner experience within a real-world higher education environment.
